Aisin Light Metals, LLC (ALM) was the second of the three Aisin plants located in the Aisin Industrial Park in Marion, IL. All of ALM’s activities revolve around two deep-rooted principles: Highest Quality and Respect for Human Resources. These principles are visible throughout our daily activities.
ALM is contributing to a better global environment by manufacturing “light metal” products for vehicles. The Vision of ALM is to become a leading manufacturer of aluminum extrusion automotive parts. We will meet and exceed the expectations of our Team Members, local communities, and those with a shared interest in ALM by being committed to solid financial performance.
ALM History
ALM’s parent company is Aisin Keikinzoku (AK), located in Toyama, Japan. AK has consolidated its position as a leading manufacturer of aluminum extrusion automotive parts in Japan. Established in 1970 the company has grown continuously. Today they have over 1000 employees with annual sales of 340 million dollars. They contribute to the local community as the largest manufacturer in the Shinminato Region.
ALM held its groundbreaking ceremony in October, 2003. In April, 2004 our 135,000 square feet facility was completed. With excellent schools, a strong manufacturing base, and great community pride, Aisin is proud to have a home in Marion.
