Job Description: General Summary Perform detailed and complex job functions (ie. normal course of business activities). Investigate and recommend ways to improve efficiencies of daily job activities. Principle Duties & Responsibilities • Maintain quality, productivity, safety requirements, and open communication within department • Compile and review absence reports • Schedule vacation and man power requirements daily and weekly • Monitor and control scrap; implement scrap reduction activities • Direct 5-S activities • Ensure safe work environment through proper planning and enforcement of safety procedures • Set goals for man hour, piece, and defects • Develop, prioritize, and schedule line improvement activities • Control daily production and ensure accuracy in production recordings • Develop and train team members and Off Line Team Leaders • Maintain quality levels by ensuring quality checks are performed regularly • Enforce policies fairly and accurately • Analyze production information for implementation of necessary countermeasures • Perform team member performance appraisals • Maintain a positive work environment • Perform other duties as assigned in order to ensure achievement of section, department, or company plan Skills & Abilities Required • Ability to effectively communicate and present ideas (written and verbal) to all levels • Ability to understand metric/English measurements, tolerances, and basic math • Mechanical ability necessary to make machine adjustments • Ability to gather facts, make decisions, determine plan, and follow through with plan • Strong interpersonal skills • Proficient in blueprint reading Minimum Level of Preparation and Training • High school diploma or equivalent is required • Related work experience is required • Completion of necessary internal Growth Ladder classes is required
